The Move, Rename, and Copy file actions successfully complete but display an incorrect " was incomplete..." error in SAS® Studio 3.81


When you complete actions on files such as Move, Rename, or Copy, an error message is displayed that states the action was incomplete.  

"Move was incomplete. Unable to open the folder "backcars.sas". Some of the file names contain invalid characters that are not compatible with the current SAS session encoding."

However, the error message is incorrect, and the action completes correctly. 

Workaround

You can disregard the error message since the action completes correctly.
