PROC GLIMMIX might generate incorrect results or stop processing when all of the following conditions are met:

• You specify a FREQ statement.
• You specify a RANDOM statement for the G-side random effects.
• You specify a RANDOM _RESIDUAL_ statement, or you specify the RESIDUAL option in a RANDOM statement for the R-side random effects. 
• You omit the TYPE= option, or you specify the TYPE=VC option in the RANDOM _RESIDUAL_ or RANDOM/RESIDUAL statement, and you also specify the NOPROFILE option in the PROC GLIMMIX statement.

Note that this issue also occurs if you specify any other TYPE= covariance structure, even if you omit the NOPROFILE option.

This issue occurs starting in SAS/STAT^® 9.1M3. A hot fix has been requested for SAS^® 9.4M7 (TS1M7), SAS^® 9.4M8 (TS1M8), and SAS^® 9.4M9 (TS1M9).

There is no workaround for this issue.
