A validation error does not occur when you try to create a new case in SAS® Visual Investigator


Within SAS Visual Investigator, the SAS® Anti-Money Laundering solution extension "Validator control" modifies the pageModel.isValid function. However, the "Validator control" does not enforce validity when you create a page via Alert ► Disposition ► New Case flow because the pageModel is not connected to the alert-disposition dialog box's OK button. 

For example, the validation should fail on an alert disposition dialog box when you complete steps similar to the following:

  1. Log on and select a Transaction monitoring alert.
  2. Edit the alert page.
  3. Select the Create Case disposition.
  4. Select the SAR90 case type.
  5. Fill out the rest of the required fields.
  6. The OK button is available when SAR90 is selected. Click OK to create the new case.  

This case creation should not be valid, and an error dialog box should be displayed.
