Memory issues occur when you open objects or workspaces multiple times in SAS® Visual Investigator

A memory issue occurs in SAS Visual Investigator when you open and close hundreds of objects or workspaces.

For example, this issue occurs when you complete steps similar to the following:

Prerequisite: You already created an object with a workspace that contains about 1,200 objects (with a document made of about 20 fields) that are configured with a table display.

  1. Click the Investigations tab. Then, open the investigation.
  2. Click the Workspace tab.
  3. Select an object to display in the object inspector.
  4. Once the object inspector is displayed, close the tab.

After 100s of iterations, the browser crashes because it runs out of memory. However, the expected result is that the memory would be released after you close the object.

There is no workaround for this issue.
