Non-GenAI methods available for Cohort generation when GAP services are unavailable

When working within the SAS® Health environment, you might encounter a scenario where GenAI Platform (GAP) services become or are unavailable.

This article provides guidance / steps below for using non-GenAI assisted methods for creating patient cohorts from the SAS Health Common Data Model when this scenario occurs:

  1. Leverage Data Views because they represent a no-code based tool to build a data view by joining one or many tables.
  2. Retrieve SQL queries from the prior conversation history and execute them against the database with assistance from a DBA/developer if appropriate or use the SAS® Studio/SAS® Visual Analytics tool as required.
  3. If the required SQL is not available in the conversation history, collaborate with your development team or system administrator to generate the necessary output until SAS Health Copilot is fully operational.
  4. Log a service request with your SAS Support team that informs them about the unavailability of SAS Health Co-Pilot / GAP services.
