"...failed to start SSH session" and "...could not fine appropriate mechanism for credentials..." errors occur in SAS® Studio 3.82


An issue occurs in SAS Studio 3.82 when you try to connect to a GIT repository after upgrading from Base SAS® on SAS® 9.4M7 (TS1M7) to SAS® 9.4M8 (TS1M8).

Previously, you could connect to a GIT repository using SSH and HTTPS authentication. However, when this issue occurs, the following errors might be displayed depending on the authentication method that you used:

ERROR: Return code from GIT is (23). failed to start SSH session: Unable to exchange encryption keys.

ERROR: Return code from GIT is (34). could not find appropriate mechanism for credentials.
