Scenarios fail to save after you open the "Edit Properties" dialog box when the scenario contains no history in SAS® Risk Scenario on SAS®9

In SAS Risk Scenario Manager on SAS9, an issue might occur where a scenario fails to save after you interact with the Edit Properties dialog.

This issue occurs when both of the following conditions are met:

You open the Edit Properties dialog box during the session.
The scenario does not contain any history records.

After these conditions are met, attempts to save the scenario fail.

Cause

The issue occurs due to an unexpected dependency between the Edit Properties dialog and scenario history:

When you open the Edit Properties dialog box, the system expects existing history metadata.
If the scenario contains no history, the Save operation fails due to a missing internal state required for persistence

Resolution

This issue is resolved via Hot Fix HPR 4.5 HF1.
