You can store SAS^® Enterprise Guide^® project files in SAS Folders, which places them inside SAS Content Server.

Starting with SAS^® 9.4M8 (TS1M8), project files with a file name that contain a "+" are no longer handled correctly by SAS Content Server. The file appears to save successfully, but the following occurs:

• You cannot open the file after saving it. As a result, SAS Enterprise Guide displays the following error:

Unable to load the project contents. The project file was not found in the SAS Content Service.

• You cannot modify and re-save the file. As a result, SAS Enterprise Guide displays an error similar to the following:

Unable to save 'xxx+x.egp'. Unable to store the project in the SAS Content Service.

Note: The files are handled correctly in SAS^® 9.4M7 (TS1M7).

To work around this issue, do either of the following:

• Avoid using the "+" character in file names.
• If you created the project with SAS 9.4M7 (or an earlier maintenance level), rename the file to replace the "+" character with a supported character. (For example, an underscore "_" or hyphen "-".) Then, export the file in a package (SPK file) and import it to the SAS9.4M8 environment. Here is an example: report+2026.egp ► report_2026.egp.
