By default, the data stored in the VARIABLE_DATA column of the _VXX and _IXX transaction tables is not compressed. Since the data in the VARIABLE_DATA column can be large, you can save significant storage space in the Transaction Data Repository if you implement compression.

The fix for this issue turns on data compression by default in the Transaction Data Repository.
