When you import a decision in SAS^® Environment Manager, SAS objects "unnamed" fail to import. When this issue occurs, the SAS objects are displayed similarly to the following:

 

SAS objects "unnamed" correspond to revision notes for nodes, such as rule sets and lookup tables. Revision notes are the text displayed in the Notes column on the Versions tab.

This issue occurs when both of the following conditions are met:

• a decision includes nodes with version notes
• a non-SAS Administrator imports the same decision more than once

When a decision is imported for the second time, the import process attempts to delete and update the version note. However, a non-SAS Administrator user cannot delete or update the revision note, which causes an error.

Note that the failure to import SAS objects "unnamed" does not affect the execution of a decision itself.

Workaround

To work around this issue, do either of the following:

• Import a decision as a SAS Administrator user.
• When importing the same decision a second time, clear the unnamed objects check box when importing.
  

The version notes will not be updated, and an error during the import process does not occur.

Resolution

Update to Stable 2026.02 or later. 

For the LTS cadence, update to LTS 2026.03, where this issue is fixed.
