A "Cannot edit in read-only editor" warning occurs in SAS® Studio Stable 2026.03


SAS Studio Stable 2026.03 does not allow you to edit a file that was saved from a read-only to a write-enabled location.

When this issue occurs, the following warning is displayed:

Cannot edit in read-only editor

To work around this issue, close the tab and then reopen it.

This issue is fixed in SAS® Studio Stable 2026.08.
