Pervasive Encryption is supported in SAS® 9.4M8 (TS1M8). If your site implements a Pervasive Encryption solution from IBM in releases before SAS 9.4M8, the following error messages might occur:
ERROR: Encountered error when the V9 engine tried to determine if library-name has a registered secured library object location.
ERROR: Library library-name is not in a valid format for access method SASE7.
A workaround is to bypass the use of Pervasive Encryption in your SAS jobs.
Otherwise, contact IBM directly to obtain a bypass solution that is appropriate for your environment. Certain customizations can be accommodated.
Among such exemptions are the following:
- designated high-level qualifier strings for newly allocated data sets
- special ddnames for data set allocations
- special data set name patterns (embedded node-name strings) for data set allocations
- special job names
- special positional parameter values in one or more of the accounting fields in a job statement
