When you input Asian characters in the SAS® Enterprise Guide® Program Editor, the cursor unexpectedly moves to another location


When you are using the SAS Enterprise Guide Program Editor, a problem might occur if there is a space at both the beginning of the line and at the end of this line.

When you press the Enter key to move to the next line and begin to input Asian characters (such as Chinese, Japanese, or Korean), the Input Method Editor (IME) cursor might move to the first row and column of the Program Editor. If there is no space at the beginning of the line, the issue does not occur.

Workaround

To work around the issue, complete these steps:

  1. Go to Tools ▶ Options ▶ SAS Programs.
  2. Click Editor Options.
  3. On the General tab, select None for Indention.
