SAS® Studio generates an authorization error when you attempt to log on


When you attempt to log on to the single-user edition of SAS Studio using Google Chrome, the following error might occur.

You are not authorized to access the webpage at http://localhost:50010/index?locale=en_US. You may need to sign in.

To correct this issue within Google Chrome, do the following:

  1. At the top right of the main window, click the Customize and control Google Chrome button and click Settings.
  2. In the Settings dialog box, click History on the far left side.
  3. Click the Clear browsing data button.
  4. In the Clear browsing data dialog box, under the Obliterate the following items from drop-down list, select the beginning of time and make sure that Cookies and other site and plugin data and Cached images and files are selected.
  5. Click the Clear browsing data button.
  6. Now, using Windows Explorer, navigate to the %temp% location (enter %temp% in the address bar). Select Edit ► Select all and click Delete.
