A saved social network is not shown in SAS® Social Network Analysis Server when used with SQL server database


If the administrator has enabled the Save option in SAS Social Network Analysis Server, then you can save the social network in the database. When you save the social network and then reload the network by clicking Last Saved to Database, the expected saved social network sometimes might not be returned. This issue might occur when you are using the SQL server database for SAS Social Network Analysis Server.

In this scenario, the SASSocialNetworkAnalysis6.2.log file contains no error, warning, or note messages indicating that a problem occurred.

To circumvent the issue, follow these steps:

  1. Make a backup of the following tables:
  1. Change the column data type from DATETIME to DATETIME2 for the following tables:
  1. Restart SASServer8.
