Exporting database tables from the SAS® Studio table viewer might fail with "An error occurred exporting the table"


On certain versions of SAS Studio, errors might occur when you complete the Export table action on the table viewer. 

For example, the following screenshot shows the interface with an Oracle table opened in the table viewer with the Export table option highlighted.

Performing this action could result in the following error: 

Error displayed: "An error occurred exporting the table."

On the affected versions, this issue is present on all libname connectors for external database connections that are non-sas, like the following:

This issue is present in SAS® Studio 2026.02 through SAS® Studio 2026.06 and is resolved in SAS® Studio 2026.07 and later. 

This issue is patched in SAS® Studio 2026.03 LTS.

Workaround

To work around this issue, rather than the Export table option, use the Libraries panel located on the left side in SAS Studio. By using the Libraries panel, you can still right-click and export tables as normal.
