The PHREG procedure exits unexpectedly when a CLASS variable in the CLASS statement is over 500 characters


If one or more of the CLASS variables in the CLASS statement has a length that exceeds 500 characters, then the PHREG procedure might terminate abnormally. 

Workaround

Shorten the length of the variable to be fewer than 500 characters.
