You are unable to schedule or modify a deployed job in the SAS® Job Execution web application

Following an upgrade of a SAS® Viya® environment, you might be unable to schedule a deployed job or modify the schedule of an existing deployed job within the SAS Job Execution Web Application.

When you try to add a new trigger to a deployed job and click Save, the web application continues loading indefinitely and becomes unresponsive. As a result, the scheduling changes are not successfully saved.

A fix for this issue is planned for SAS® Visual Analytics version 2026.10.

Cause

This issue is caused by a software defect that affects the scheduling of deployed jobs in affected SAS Viya versions.

The defect can prevent scheduling changes from being saved when you add or modify a trigger from the deployed job interface.

Resolution

A fix for this issue is planned for SAS® Viya® 2026.10.

To work around this issue, use SAS® Environment Manager to create or modify the schedule.

  1. Open SAS Environment Manager.
  2. Navigate to Jobs and Flows.
  3. Click the Scheduling tab.
  4. Select the job whose schedule you want to modify.
  5. Access the scheduling options using either of the following methods:
    • Click the Schedule icon.
    • Right-click the job and select Schedule.
  6. Create or modify the required scheduling trigger.
  7. Save the changes.

Note: Using the Scheduling tab in SAS Environment Manager avoids the issue that occurs when managing the schedule from the SAS Job Execution web application.
