In SAS^® Studio 2025.06 and later versions, downloading files larger than one GB from SAS Server or SAS Content might result in a truncated file. When this issue occurs, no warning message is displayed. 

Note: It is always recommended that you verify the size of the downloaded file in the target location versus the size in the source location.

This behavior is a known limitation. A solution for this issue is being actively investigated.

Workaround

Until this limitation is addressed, complete one of the following workarounds:

Download from SAS Server

• Use operating system commands or file transfer utilities.
  
• Use the downloadFile.sh script located at Compute Utilities.

Download from SAS Content 

• Copy the file from SAS Content into SAS Server. Then, complete the workaround described in the Download from SAS Server section.
